Know before you book
Participants should be at least 18 years old for this Expert rafting trip. Age requirements vary depending on the flow of the Arkansas River.
Walk-ins are welcome, but advanced rafting reservations are the only way to insure that you get to go rafting – especially during peak season (July -August).
All participants need to be able to swim, be in good physical condition and able to run a continuous mile. Previous Class IV rafting experience is required.
Everyone in your party needs to paddle. Pine Creek and The Numbers is too narrow for Oar rafts, therefore everyone needs to paddle under guide instruction.
Risk is involved with all whitewater rafting trips. You and everyone in your party must be willing to accept that risk. All participants must read and sign a waiver – minors under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian read and sign a waiver on their behalf.
We reserve the right to alter your route based on extreme water flows and other potential safety concerns.
Plan to arrive at our Buena Vista, Colorado location at least 45 minutes prior to your scheduled departure. This will allow time for your group to finish paperwork and check out rafting equipment.

Had a BLAST!
“First time rafter (but previously a kayaker/canoe-er) and had a BLAST. We were the first of 3 boats with guide Erika (she and her identical, and also dread-locked twin both work at River Runners). Erika was maybe 90 pounds but damn if she didn’t kick the river’s ass! We did a half day trip which ended up being barely over 2 hrs due to the high/faster water, but it was still worth it.”
