Know before you book
Participants should be at least 6 years old AND 50LBS for this intermediate rafting trip.
Age requirements vary depending on the flow of the Arkansas River.
Walk-ins are welcome, but advanced rafting reservations are the only way to insure that you get to go rafting – especially during peak season (July -August).
We presume all participants want to paddle. Please advise if you have any medical conditions or if you have small children that do not want to paddle, we will place you in an Oar-manned raft.
Risk is involved with all whitewater rafting trips. You and everyone in your party must be willing to accept that risk. All participants must read and sign a waiver – minors under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian read and sign a waiver on their behalf.
We reserve the right to alter your route based on extreme water flows and other potential safety concerns.
Plan to arrive at our Buena Vista, Colorado location at least 45 minutes prior to your scheduled departure. This will allow time for your group to finish paperwork and check out rafting equipment.

Browns Canyon full day trips launch from River Runners and take out 15 miles down stream on the other side of the canyon. Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your scheduled launch time and allow 5-6 hours round trip.

Previous experience is not required on this popular Colorado river rafting trip. Your professional raft guide will teach you how to paddle through 7 class III rapids and tell you about the unique history, geology, and wildlife of the Arkansas River in Colorado. Your entire family is sure to love this fun and educational white water rafting trip. Lunch is not included, but you can always try our Riverside Grill, use our picnic areas for your own lunch, or try one of the many restaurants in Buena Vista just 6 miles north of our riverside resort. Browns Canyon half day trips launch from River Runners and take out 10 miles down stream at the half-way point of the canyon. Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your scheduled launch time and allow 3 hours round trip.

What to Wear Rafting in Colorado
Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your rafting trip departure time
You should wear synthetic fabric clothing (avoid cotton), sandals that strap around your foot or an old pair of tennis shoes, a hat, a strap for your eye glasses or sun glasses (available for purchase), quick dry swimsuits or board shorts.
Wetsuits, splash tops and booties are available for rent at River Runners.
Apply plenty of sunscreen and reapply throughout the day.
Guides, rafts, PFDs, helmets and paddles are included.
