Enjoy no shuttle from the take-out – floats to River Runners Riverside Rafting Resort.

Relax and take in the incredible Buena Vista, Colorado views, wildlife and geology while a professional guide rows your family down this lazy section of the Arkansas River. You can also paddle while your guide calls commands from the back of the boat. Either way experience small class I-II rapids with splashy waves and moving current. Enjoy incredible views of the surrounding 14,000-foot peaks and raft under a classic railroad trestle. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for wildlife as elk, mule deer, raptors, waterfowl and chipmunks can often be seen on this scenic rafting trip.

You can get splashed on this trip, but it is primarily a scenic family float. Smile while our professional photographers take your photo so that you can share this experience with family and friends. This trip floats right back to the resort where you can have lunch at our Riverside Grill. The little ones will love the kids’ menu and watching rafts float by on the Arkansas River.

What to Wear Rafting in Colorado

Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your rafting trip departure time

You should wear synthetic fabric clothing (avoid cotton), sandals that strap around your foot or an old pair of tennis shoes, a hat, a strap for your eye glasses or sun glasses (available for purchase), quick dry swimsuits or board shorts.

Wetsuits, splash tops and booties are available for rent at River Runners.

Apply plenty of sunscreen and reapply throughout the day.

Guides, rafts, PFDs, helmets and paddles are included.
