Numbers Full Day River Rafting Trip
This whitewater river rafting trip near Denver, Colorado is for people wanting a high adrenaline experience. If you are of an adventurous spirit and in good physical condition we can teach you how to paddle this continuous whitewater section on the Arkansas River. Get a good night sleep and eat a hearty breakfast, because you will have to listen to your guide and paddle hard as a team to navigate this challenging stretch of Colorado whitewater. A River Runners full day Numbers rafting trip is about six hours round trip and includes a catered riverside lunch. This will allow plenty of time for you to enjoy the high alpine environment and take in majestic views of 14,000-foot mountains. Choose a Numbers full day whitewater rafting trip at River Runners and float right back to our private beach.
Numbers Half Day River Rafting Trip
Experience the most continuous whitewater on the Arkansas River with a Numbers half day whitewater rafting trip. Get a good night sleep and eat a hearty breakfast, because you will have to listen to your guide and paddle hard as a team to navigate this challenging stretch of Colorado whitewater. Lunch is not included, but you can always try our Riverside Bar & Grill, use our picnic areas for your own lunch, or try one of the many restaurants in Buena Vista just 6 miles north of our riverside resort. A River Runners half day Numbers rafting trip is two-three hours round trip.
CLASS IV – V RAFTING TRIP
Know before you book
Participants should be at least 14 years old for this advanced rafting trip during July/August. 16 years old for trips May-June.
Age requirements vary depending on the flow of the Arkansas River.
Walk-ins are welcome, but advanced rafting reservations are the only way to insure that you get to go rafting – especially during peak season (July -August).
Everyone in your party needs to paddle. The Numbers section is too narrow for Oar rafts, therefore everyone needs to paddle under guide instruction.
Risk is involved with all whitewater rafting trips. You and everyone in your party must be willing to accept that risk. All participants must read and sign a waiver – minors under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian read and sign a waiver on their behalf.
We reserve the right to alter your route based on extreme water flows and other potential safety concerns.
Plan to arrive at our Buena Vista, Colorado location at least 45 minutes prior to your scheduled departure. This will allow time for your group to finish paperwork and check out rafting equipment.
What to Wear Rafting in Colorado
Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your rafting trip departure time
You should wear synthetic fabric clothing (avoid cotton), sandals that strap around your foot or an old pair of tennis shoes, a hat, a strap for your eye glasses or sun glasses (available for purchase), quick dry swimsuits or board shorts.
Wetsuits, splash tops and booties are available for rent at River Runners.
Apply plenty of sunscreen and reapply throughout the day.
Guides, rafts, PFDs, helmets and paddles are included.
Numbers Zip & Raft
Get ready to paddle and have fun. Depart at 9:30 am on a two-three hour class IV-V Numbers rafting trip. Rapids in The Numbers are so jam packed they are numbered instead of named.
After getting your heart rate up paddling, enjoy a hearty lunch at the Riverside Grill at River Runners. Meal choice and a soft drink included.
Allow 45 minutes travel time to Leadville and Top of the Rockies Zip Line. This 3:00 pm tour features five zip line cables with side by side zipping so you can soar alongside one another 11,000 feet. Cables range from 400-850 feet.
