RIVER RUNNERS is a proud member of the
Colorado River Outfitters Association. CROA is a non-profit trade association representing approximately 50 licensed professional river rafting outfitters who specialize in providing outstanding outdoor adventures for families and individuals of all tastes and capabilities. The organization’s mission is to promote rafting in Colorado and provide a reasoned voice on legislative, regulatory and other developments that affect the commercial rafting industry, the health of local rivers and Colorado’s tourism economy as a whole.

Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area. The Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area (AHRA) is recognized as one of the nation’s most popular locations for whitewater rafting and kayaking on the Arkansas River – the most commercially rafted river in the United States!

Colorado Division Of Wildlife
The
Colorado Division of Wildlife is the state branch for the federal wildlife regulating body. Includes information on hunting, fishing, wildlife viewing, current news, and related regulations. With an estimated 280,000 elk, Colorado is home to the world’s largest elk herd. You will have the opportunity to view Colorado’s’ wildlife on many of
RIVER RUNNERS rafting trips. Guests often see Mule Deer, Bighorn Sheep, hawks and much more.

BLM Bureau Of Land Management
RIVER RUNNERS operates under a special use permit from the
Bureau of Land Management. Colorado’s 8.3 million acres of BLM public lands, along with 27 million acres of mineral estate, are concentrated primarily in the western portion of the State. The lands range from alpine tundra, colorful canyons, and mesas in the southwest, to rolling sage-covered hills in the northwest. These public lands play a vital role in providing open space and contribute to Colorado’s quality of life.

US Forest Service
