Green River Gates of Lodore
August 16 – 19, 2012
Rocky Mountain Public Television
Adrift Adventures and Rocky Mountain Public Television are proud to present their 5th annual 4-day whitewater rafting adventure fund-raising event. This whitewater rafting adventure begins at the Gates of Lodore on the Green River and ends in Split Mountain Gorge. The Green River lies in the heart of Dinosaur National Monument.
During your trip, your host Dr Andrew Gulliford will shed light on the amazing outlaw history of the area as well as point out the geological formations that carve three spectacular canyons during your 4 day journey.
This whitewater rafting adventure is a remote river experience so participants need to be able to get in and out of rafts with ease. Other activities include optional side hikes and riverfront games at camp.
Dr. Gulliford is a professor of southwest studies and history at Ft Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. This is his fifth season offering his services to Rocky Mountain Public Television.
Trips cost just $765.00 and are all inclusive apart from camping equipment (available for rent).
To secure your space on this legendary trip, please contact Adrift Adventures at 1-800-824-0150. Reservations require a $200 deposit per person with balance payments due within 30 days of trip departure.
