Green River Gates of Lodore
August 9 – 12, 2012
Colorado Historical Society
Dr. Andrew Gulliford, an esteemed professor of southwest studies and history at Fort Lewis College, will again donate his interpretive services as Guest Speaker for the Colorado Historical Society.
“It is great to again partner with History Colorado for this unique wilderness river trip” Gulliford said. “I have been involved with interpretive programs in and around Dinosaur National Monument for twenty-one years and I still love it. The geology is spectacular and it has such a unique history that includes dinosaurs, Native Americans, cowboys, outlaws and famous explorers like John Wesley Powell.”
The multi-day rafting trip is capped at 25 participants including Gulliford, who will provide expert interpretation throughout the tour. It is open to the public with a special rate for History Colorado members: $680 for adult members, $750 for adult non-members.
