In 2007 River Runner’s 35th rafting season on the Arkansas River 21,465 people rafted with River Runners on the Arkansas River. 239,887 people in total rafted commercially on the Arkansas raising $785,977.35 in user fees for Colorado State parks.
The Arkansas River has more than 100 miles of prime whitewater rafting among the 14,000 peaks of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. The river's popularity derives in part from its proximity to Denver and the ski areas, but mostly because this is a great river, with something to offer everyone. Browns Canyon is the most popular rafting run in the world.
