Dan Klinefelter enjoyes people, who try new things, are talkitive, and who have unusural points of view.

I like dancing sparkeling water
excitement of big waves, navagational challenges, mountain views, rocky canyon walls, dead trees, and learning new things. I try to help people, see beauty, and to enjoy their adventure.

The best thing about Kirby is he truly enjoys every day of his life and will try to make sure you do too!

Christina is our weekend warrior. She works full time protecting our watersheds, as an enviromental consultant.

Spencer is a Ski Patrolman and EMT and has been guiding for almost half his life, on rivers all over the country. He finds himself in the office as much as the river these days.

JD is a stellar whitewater river guide spending time in all aspects of the river company. He is on the board of directors for the Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce. JD is married to Stacey.

Stacey is not only a great river guide; she is an office manager GURU.

She can take a reservation and then take a group rafting without breaking stride. Stacey is married to JD.

Kevin is a Ski Patroler at Snowbird Ski Resort and is an Avalanche rescue dog handler. You may meet RIDGE at the rafting resort. Kevin is also involved in all aspects of the business.

J Lee as we call him is this years Brochure "cover guy". With over Ten years experience, Jason is at home on the river as well as the steep terrain of Crested Butte in the winter.

During his lifetime, Mitch has lived in Hong Kong, Australia, Utah and Colorado. Some times called "STEEL" Mitch has been rafting for over 8 years and with River Runners for 4 years. He skis and kayaks when not rafting.

"I like to share my love of rivers and the outdoors with people who don't experience them as much as I do." You should request Mitch because he likes to take the big hits.

Sometimes called "Smashley" she has been with River Runners for 2 years. Calling Boulder, Colorado home she enjoys kickball, traveling the Wild, Wild West and she is a professional karaoke star. "I enjoy working at River Runners because they have the best website out there and NO STAIRS."

The "Good" Twin. from Glade Creek, Tennessee with over 5 years experience and her first year at River Runners. She enjoys hitting the ski slopes but last year she opted for the sunshine and taught english in Tailand.

"I love anything outdoors, long distance backpacking, rock climbing and Mountain Biking." "At River Runners I enjoy the fun loving easy going staff, Not to mention the top notch gear."

Jessica works on her father's farm in Missouri during the off season taking care of animals.

Her fondest whitewater memory thus-far has been "The moonlight float when I was so exhausted, I even slept through the last two rapids."

Tim often Called "Dice". Tim grew up in Taos, New Mexico. Rafting for over 25 years and 5 for River Runners Tim is one of our Head Boatmen at our Rafting Resort. Tim loves to Run The Numbers.

During the off season he owns "Natural Fashions" a womens clothingstore in Scottsdale Arizona.

While not rafting Tim enjoys Kayaking, Mountain Biking and napping in a hammock.

"The Machine Gunn" Aaron has been rafting for River Runners for over 4 years. He has a BA in Anthropology and is going for his Masters Degree.

"Polecat, Wals, Walster, Wallice, Vander Waals, Walser" A charcter from Marysville Kansas has been rafting for 23 years and professionally for 5 with River Runners.

Wally is a student at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

I enjoy working at River Runners because of the great staff.

"The-Bushman" A rookie from Littleton, Colorado.

Wally is one of our bus drivers and is a jack of all trades. Wally works at Monach Mountain when not at River Runners.

No longer a rookie from Denver, Mark (better known as Books) enjoys rafting because "I love showing people a good time and seeing people feel like they have accomplished something awesome at the end of the trip. Making people laugh is pretty high on my list too."

"Seriously, there is nothing quite like the sun shining off the waves of a rapid, and that small feeling of nervousness as you approach it." Buckley is a ski patroller during the winter months.

Rafting for over 5 years, Laurie is from Glenwood Springs. "I love figuring out how rivers work and being able to show other people. Also, if I could live on the river 24/7 I probably would..."

I enjoy rowing crew, playing vollyball, picking my nose and apple juice.

Our key reservationist-turned-rookie guide tells of his rafting favorites: "I enjoy the numbers quite a bit, if you're looking for the whole nine yards: the Gorge, and if your looking to raft with ME: BROWN'S CANYON!!!

A Wisconsin native, Eileen heads up the reservations office staff!

"Although I sell rafting, I'm not the best on the oars yet. I am hoping once my dog Jake learns to relax on the raft, that will help me out." Eileen enjoys all outdoor activities, especially hiking, and currently resides in Utah in the off season.

Our Gorge headboatman extraordinaire, Los is an excellent telemark skier in the off season. His rafting claim-to-fame is descending the Royal Gorge at 5,600 c.f.s!!!! (June, 1985)

Mac's first time rafting was with River Runners at age 11! During the off season, Mac has worked at over 26 different Outback Steak House restaurants, hence his nickname OUTBACK MAC.   His most exciting rafting adventure was through the Royal Gorge when he flipped his raft, saw a Black Bear on the railroad tracks and picked fresh crabapples...

"EVERY HOUR YOU SPEND ON THE RIVER ADDS A DAY TO YOUR LIFE!" Gary resides in New Orleans during the off season.

"Just remember be thankful that you got to experience something that many people will never get the chance to and live each day like its your last."

Liz enjoys rafting because everyday you experience new elements: the river, the paddlers and the raft itself. "Plus the people, you meet folks from all over, so it makes guiding a sort of cultural experience too."

Besides rafting during the summer months, "I enjoy river boarding and skurfing on the river and playing in homemade sailing creations on lakes."

Busy rock climbing, biking and snowboarding in his free-time, Adam also attends community college for continuing education.   Getting deep into the heart of it, Adam reflects on the beauty of being on the river every day: "Increasing water needs and the effects of global warming put our river systems at risk. Not only affecting our enjoyment of the river, but the entire fragile eco-system that sustains all life on the planet."

After a day on the river, Noah suggests guests should "remember to thank the river, and respect it." He loves the fact that bighorn sheep visit his office every day and that he can go swimming and count it as work.

"I work in paradise, and at the end of every work day, I am truly happy."

His third year guiding with Adrift, Devan hails from Bellingham, WA and has spent the past winter on the Futaleufu River in Chile. "I find inspiration in the river canyons of the Yampa and the Green."
