Our guides - the backbone of a great Colorado rafting experience Experience is everything and River Runners' guides have the most experience on the river, in fact, many of our guides have more than 20 years as guiding under their belt. Everyone on our staff receives double the training that the state of Colorado requires. All guides have first aid and C.P.R. training, and many are Emergency Medical Technicians. All of our guides are well-versed in all aspects of river rescue and are trained to work together in no matter the situation. With a combination of strong work ethics and personalities, you may rely on our guides to enhance your whitewater trip with their informative knowledge of our Arkansas River environment -- complete with colorful local history, geology, bird and animal life.
Our safety record speaks for itself We use only the most modern equipment and have a fleet of over seventy-five self-bailing rafts available. We provide all of our guests with U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices (lifejackets) for your safety and protection while rafting on the Arkansas River. All of our guests who venture into more challenging waters (Class IV and V) are provided with helmets as an added safeguard. Our river apparel is the best available. Clean, comfortable wetsuits, neoprene booties and technical spray wear are available at check-in.
