Our Rafting Resort in Buena Vista, Colorado offers a fun, mild beginner Class II rafting trip called the Family Float. This trip is suitable for ages 4 and up. This trip launches from Johnson's Village, just a short 5 minutes shuttle from our Rafting Resort, and offers great views of the Collegiate Peaks mountain range from the convenience of your professionally guided oar powered raft.

On the 1.5 hour Family Float Class II rafting adventure, expect to hit fun splashy wave trains of mild whitewater combined with breathtaking scenery.

Intermediate Whitewater Rafting Trips are our most popular Family Trips

Both our Canon City and our Buena Vista rafting locations offer Intermediate, Class III rafting trips that are suitable for children ages 6 and older. Intermediate whitewater is fun and exciting which makes it suitable for first time rafters and experienced rafters alike.

Our River Runners Intermediate whitewater trip called Bighorn Sheep Canyon departs from our Cañon City office. This entertaining whitewater adventure through a desert canyon has spurts of challenging Class III rapids that get you wet intermixed with calmer whitewater sections for rafters to admire the Bighorn Sheep that frequent the canyon.

Browns Canyon is our Intermediate whitewater trip that departs from our Rafting Resort just south of Buena Vista, Colorado. This section of the Arkansas River is America's favorite whitewater trip! This remote section of the Arkansas River is ideal for those seeking a pristine wilderness experience combined with challenging whitewater.

At our Rafting Resort in Buena Vista, your family can use our riverfront campground at our Rafting Resort as your base! Your group can enjoy beach volleyball, river fishing, horseshoes and hot showers! Also your group can receive discount tickets to the Mt Princeton Hot Springs, just 10 minutes away!

At our Cañon City location, we are conveniently located at the entrance to the legendary Royal Gorge Bridge and Park! Your group can receive discount entrance tickets to the park when you raft with River Runners!

Our group cancellation policy is as follows: All reservations must be secured with a 50% deposit. Confirmation of group numbers must be made 30 days in advance of trip date. Balance payments are due 14 days in advance of trip date. Cancellations made within two weeks of trip date are not subject to refund.
